JHIRNA ZONE: Jhirna, situated on the southern periphery of the Corbett Tiger Reserve, is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. The animal population in this zone includes sloth bears and wild elephants, providing captivating sights for those seeking to witness the wonders of the wild.

DHELA ZONE: The Corbett Safari proudly introduces the Dhela Zone, the new fifth eco-tourism zone that became fully operational on December 01, 2014. Deputy Director of Corbett Tiger Reserve, Saket Badola, highlighted that starting from January 1st of the following year, tourists and wildlife enthusiasts could immerse themselves in the beauty of nature trails.

DURGADEVI ZONE :Durga Devi Zone, positioned as the hill safari zone, is a treasure trove of wildlife beauty and adventure within the Corbett Tiger Reserve. Nestled at the North-Eastern side of the reserve, this area is crisscrossed by the Ramganga and Mandal rivers at several picturesque locations.

SITAVANI ZONE : Corbett Sitavani, nestled within the rugged expanse of the Tiger Reserve, is a dense forest area renowned for its captivating allure. A cherished destination for tourists, this region holds significance in the Hindu epic, Ramayana. According to the myth, goddess Sita, the wife of Lord Rama, sought refuge in Corbett during a portion of her exile.

Jim Corbett Safari Important Information:

Visitors are required to obtain entry permits that are being issued online (by producing the above-mentioned documents). It should be noted that the entry permit to the Corbett National Park is provisional and can be changed or canceled without any prior intimation. The order of Corbett Tiger Reserve Director will be final in this regard, and we are governed by the rules made thereunder. Entry permits belong to you and are not transferable. Only officially registered guides can join your excursions; please do not try to change the guide or naturalist. Entry to the National Park is strictly prohibited after sunset. Day visits to Dhikala Tourism Zone are not permitted except for tourists staying inside the forest lodges. While doing a jeep safari, do not get down from the vehicle; it is not allowed. Avoid carrying pets while on a holiday tour, as no pets can be taken inside the CTR. All visitors to the Corbett Tiger Reserve must abide by the rules and regulations of the Wildlife Protection Act, so please cooperate.

Terms & Conditions:

Day visits to all zones are strictly regulated as per the scientifically calculated carrying capacity, and only a limited number of vehicles are permitted entry during each morning and afternoon. Permits for day visits to other zones are available online on our website. Visitors are advised to acquaint themselves with gate timings and arrive well before the designated time to avoid any inconvenience. Private vehicles are 'not' allowed entry for tourism purposes into the park, and visitors use specially designed vehicles registered with CTR for this purpose. Day visits to the Dhikala Ecotourism Zone are permitted only through specially designed Canter buses via Ramganga Conducted Tours. Visitors can also enjoy elephant rides at Bijrani and Dhikala ecotourism Zone, which are available on a 'First come, first get' basis. Canteen facilities are available at Dhikala, Bijrani, and Gairal. At other locations, kitchen facilities have been provided. The jeep will pick up & drop from/to the Resort/Hotel/Railway Station as specified by the Traveller. (Conditions Apply). Jeep safari will be booked in advance basis. Booking starts 45 days prior to your tour date. As per jungle safari regulations, once confirmed and booked, the booking amount for Jeep Safari is non-refundable, non-replaceable, and non-transferable. Visitors will be responsible for their luggage in Safari (Gypsy living) timing, or if you lose anything during Safari (Gypsy living) timing, we are not responsible.

Entry Formalities:

As the entire periphery of the Jim Corbett National Park falls under restricted and protected areas, official permission is required to visit the core area of the tiger territory. There are two kinds of official permits issued by the government for entering any safari zone of the park. Day visit permits (for jeep/canter safari) and permits for night stay inside the Government forest lodges. The day visit permits are required by Indian nationals as well as foreigners for entering any tourism zone in Corbett National Park. Accommodation inside the park is possible after obtaining night stay permits that are issued by issuing authorities of Government officials.
